Have you ever read a book that’s taken you out of this world?
The students from The Baird Primary Academy in Hastings have. After reading the Puffin fantasy book Keeper of the Realms: Blood and Fire by Marcus Alexander, they were inspired to set off on a mission and send the book into space!
Acrobatic author Marcus Alexander, Patron of Reading at the school, helped the pupils send the book sky high with a weather balloon. The balloon travelled for a whooping 3 hours and reached an altitude of 35,000m before bursting! It then landed in the sea several miles off the Dover coastline. The book’s journey was recorded with a camera and the footage was edited into an AWESOME video…
